RMDH receives its $30,000 cheque @ Westmead Hospital

L’UFE President Bernard le Boursicot, Vice-President Marie Gittard-Varnier and board members were at Westmead to hand out the $30,000 cheque to Simone Daher, House Manager at Ronald McDonald House Westmead.  It was the occasion for children from RMDHW and their families to share their stories with members from l’UFE, around a beautiful meal prepared by a local Winston Hills Lions Club volunteers.

It was a much-deserved break for these families - some of which have spent the last 18 months visiting their children at the hospital. The event was filled with emotions, happiness and hope. Next December, l'UFE will be preparing its Christmas celebration with the children. Many surprises will be handed out, and a gourmet French meal will be served.
